This art-glass and wood table lamp was inspired by the many koi ponds
one sees in Hawai'i. The inspiration for the Hawaiian Curly Koa frame design
was the Japanese gates in Hilo's beautiful and serene Lili'uokalani Park.
The almost black wood trim is African Wenge, chosen
for the framatic contrast to the brilliant Koa.

Below is the other side of the lamp.

Below is the lamp in varying lighting moods and angles.

Shown below is a detail shot typical of the intricate woodworking throughout this piece.

All of the lamps in this series have the electric cord coming out of the bottom
of the lamp in such a way that it can be moved to whatever side of the lamp
ends up in back where it will not show. As with all of the lamps in this series,
the light is provided by compact fluorescent bulbs.

These pieces are individually hand made with extraordinary attention to detail. Each is unique,
completely original and all patterns for each are destroyed when the project is complete.
There are some similarities between some of the lamps, but there are no two alike.
Each is signed by the artist and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
