A backlighted layered-glass panel in a case crafted of

Mahogany trimmed with Hawaiian curly Koa.

 

The color intensity and translucency changes depending on the ambient light in the

room, closely resembling hot, flowing pahoehoe lava in similar natural light.

 

The lava is seen flowing in a wide, intense river, with glowing a'a lava in the foreground.

 

The photo below shows the base from an angle, but the colors

in the glass did not reproduce well . . .
