Pahoehoe Nani
19" wide
The backlighted glass panel is mounted in a case of gorgeous Hawaiian curly Koa and African mahogany.
The color intensity and translucency changes depending on the ambient light in the room, closely resembling hot,
flowing pahoehoe lava in similar natural light. In addition to the main flow, which pools at the bottom, there
are small streaks of red-hot lava showing through the cracks in the black lava.

Below is a detail photo showing more of the case.
The dramatic grain of the Koa can be seen in this photo.

These pieces are individually hand made with extraordinary attention to detail. Each is unique,
completely original and all patterns for each are destroyed when the project is complete.
There are some similarities between some of the lamps, but there are no two alike.
Each is signed by the artist and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
