This art-glass
and wood table lamp was inspired by the many koi ponds
one sees in Hawai'i.
The inspiration for the Hawaiian Curly Koa frame design
was the Japanese
gates in Hilo's beautiful and serene Lili'uokalani Park.
The almost black
wood trim on the base is African Wenge, chosen
for the framatic
contrast to the brilliant Koa.
Below is the other
side of the lamp.
Tthe ends and
a photo in different light are below. The insert in the base
of the lamp
is made of the
same glass as in the top and ends, only with the textured side
exposed.
