This art-glass and wood table lamp was inspired by the many koi ponds
one sees in Hawai'i. The inspiration for the Hawaiian Curly Koa frame design
was the Japanese gates in Hilo's beautiful and serene Lili'uokalani Park.
The almost black wood trim on the base is African Wenge, chosen
for the framatic contrast to the brilliant Koa.

Below is the other side of the lamp.

Tthe ends and a photo in different light are below. The insert in the base of the lamp
is made of the same glass as in the top and ends, only with the textured side exposed.

These pieces are individually hand made with extraordinary attention to detail. Each
is unique, completely original and all patterns for each are destroyed when
the project is complete. There are some similarities between
some of the lamps, but there are no two alike.
Each is signed by the artist.

As with all of the lamps in this series, the light is provided by compact
fluorescent bulbs. This lamp uses only one 14 W bulb.
