18" high

A backlighted layered-glass panel in a case of African Mahogany
trimmed with Hawaiian curly Koa and African Wenge.

The color intensity and translucency changes depending on the ambient light in the
room, closely resembling hot, flowing pahoehoe lava in similar natural light.

The lava is seen flowing in a wide, intense river, with glowing a'a lava in the foreground.

The case stands off of the base in such a way that this piece can be used
as a table lamp. The front trim of the case is some exceptional curly Koa
and the base is book-matched African Mahogany trimmed with Wenge.

The photo below shows the base from an angle, but the colors
in the glass did not reproduce well . . .

These pieces are individually hand made with extraordinary attention to detail. Each is unique,
completely original and all patterns for each are destroyed when the project is complete.
There are some similarities between some of the lamps, but there are no two alike.
Each is signed by the artist and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
